jim's jabberings

HOPEFULLY YOU ARE FINDING ENOUGH TO DO TO KEEP YOU BUSY AT HOME THIS WEEK.   IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN IDEA YOU MIGHT TRY DOING WHAT A FELLOW IN ENGLAND DID WHEN HE RAN A MARATHON IN HIS 20 FOOT BACK YARD BY RUNNING BACK AND FORTH 7,000 TIMES.

THEN THERE WAS THE YOUNG CHILD WHO WAS  FASCINATED  BY HER GRANDFATHERS ABILITY TO TAKE OUT HIS FALSE TEETH.  SHE ASKED  HIM TAKE THEM OUT CLEAN THEM AND PUT THEM BACK IN SEVERAL TIMES IN ONE AFTERNOON.  TIRING OF THIS THE GRANDFATHER ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE HE COULD DO FOR HER.  SHE REPLIED

 " TAKE OFF YOUR NOSE."

I HAVE NOTICED THIS LAST WEEK HOW IT SEEMS THAT EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT OPINIONS ABOUT WHAT WE SHOULD DO AND NOT DO IN OUR CURRENT SITUATION.  AFTER WASH YOUR HANDS 20 SECONDS , DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE, AND STAY HOME AMD WEAR A MASK  THERE SEEM TO BE OTHER PRECAUTIONS THAT COME UP.

>WASH YOUR HAIR AND SHOWER WHEN YOU COME BACK FROM THE STORE.

> WASH ALL OF THE CLOTHES YOU WEAR IN PUBLIC AS SOON AS YOU GET HOME

>RADIATE YOUR MAIL IN THE MICROWAVE

> SANITIZE THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHOES BEFORE ENTERING YOUR HOUSE

I WILL LEAVE IT TO YOU TO FIGURE OUT WHICH OF THOSE LAST FIVE,  (THAT WERE NOT IN THE OFFICIAL GOV. DIRECTIONS, THE LAST TIME I CHECKED)  YOU SHOULD PRACTICE OR NOT.

> I SAW A LIST OF FOODS YOU SHOULD NOT EAT IF YOU HAVE A COLD.  THAT LIST ELIMINATED MOST OF WHAT I EAT. I GUESS THAT GOES BACK TO THE IDEA OF STARVE  A COLD OR WAS IT STARVE A FEVER?

SEEMS LIKE EVERY TIME I COUGH OR HAVE A SNIFFLE I WONDER IF I HAVE THE VIRUS.  THAT IS WHEN I TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND HOLD IT FOR 10 SECONDS TO SEE IF THAT CAUSES A COUGH.

An  old fable that has been passed down for generations tells about an  elderly man who was traveling with a boy and a donkey. As they walked  through a village, the man was leading the donkey and the boy was  walking behind. The townspeople said the old man was a fool for not  riding, so to please them he climbed up on the animal's back. When they  came to the next village, the people said the old man was cruel to let  the child walk while he enjoyed the ride. So, to please them, he got off  and set the boy on the animal's back and continued on his way. In the  third village, people accused the child of being lazy for making the old  man walk, and the suggestion was made that they both ride. So the man  climbed on and they set off again. In the fourth village, the  townspeople were indignant at the cruelty to the donkey because he was  made to carry two people. The frustrated man was last seen carrying the  donkey down the road.

IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE CARRYING YOUR DONKEY DOWN THE ROAD TODAY  STOP , PRAY,  SEEK HIS WISDOM IN YOUR SITUATION.

James 1:5  (LIVING BIBLE)

If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask him, and he will  gladly tell you, for he is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask him; he will not resent it.

June 2

We have started opening things back up again and now we are met with more decisions..  Our church services go  back to regular 3 service starting Sunday.  Masks are required at first service and are optional for the last two services.  Some youth sports have resumed for the summer,, and theme parks are projecting restart dates.  They are all including social distancing rules of course.
